Job description

Position: Asset and Software License Manager
Location: Bedford, MA (Onsite)
Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire Active Top Secret Clearance Required Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary manager for all organizational IT assets and software licenses.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, and associated licensing documentation.
• Track asset life cycle activities including procurement, deployment, transfer, maintenance, and disposal.
• Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets and software licenses.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all hardware and software requests meet organizational and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain processes for asset accountability and license management.
• Provide reporting and metrics related to asset utilization, licensing status, and compliance.
• Interpret and enforce organizational policies regarding approved and prohibited hardware/software.
• Advise personnel on IT compliance requirements and acceptable technology usage.
• Assist in evaluating software and hardware requests for compliance with security and operational standards.
• Support implementation and maintenance of IT governance processes and documentation.
• Ensure systems and assets comply with applicable cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Provide limited COMSEC support as required, including accountability and handling procedures.
• Support cyber security compliance initiatives and inspections.
• Coordinate with security and IT personnel to ensure adherence to organizational security standards. Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in asset and inventory management. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified. • Experience managing IT assets, inventory systems, or software licensing programs. • Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance requirements, and cyber security policies. • Knowledge of hardware/software approval processes and regulatory restrictions. • Able to interpret policies and confidently enforce compliance standards. • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and confident in interpreting and enforcing IT compliance standards, policies, and procedures. • Familiarity with COMSEC procedures and accountability requirements preferred. • Experience supporting DoD, federal, or government IT environments. • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. • Must be capable of working with all levels of an organization and interacting in a professional manner.
