Job description

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Software Licensing Specialist to join our team at APG, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics (PM IS&A).

Duties:

  • Gather and elicit Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software licensing requirements from stakeholders and program teams.
  • Coordinate the procurement of software licenses through various procurement and contracting vehicles.
  • Review and validate software license requests to ensure requirements are accurate and authorized.
  • Distribute and track software licenses while maintaining accurate software license baselines and records.
  • Audit software licensing information and create and maintain Version Description Documents (VDDs).
  • Coordinate the replication, packaging, and distribution of software media to field locations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Direct experience of gathering/eliciting COTS software licensing requirements required. 

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Qualifications:

  • Associate (AAS) degree required. Degree may be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of related work experience is required.
  • An additional two (2) years of direct work experience may substitute for the associate degree.

 Travel:

Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces. 

 Physical Demands:

Physical demands of this position include ability to:

  • Be independently mobile.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
  • Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
