Job description

Job Title: Buyer II Location: El Segundo, CA A-shift hours / Type: Contract / On-site Compensation: $70 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities including sourcing and purchasing for assigned categories.
  • Review and negotiate software licensing agreements and SaaS contracts.
  • Support procurement/ERP workflows by processing requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms and drive cost savings and improved outcomes.
  • Ensure procurement actions align with cost, risk, and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Procurement Experience & Category Expertise: How many years of direct procurement/buying experience you have, and specifically how much involves sourcing software services, SaaS subscriptions, and/or IT/ET hardware; include brief descriptions of the types of categories managed.
  • Software Licensing & SaaS Knowledge: Experience reviewing and negotiating software licensing agreements and SaaS contracts; key terms typically focused on to manage cost and risk (e.g., licensing models, renewal/auto-renewal clauses, usage rights, support/maintenance terms).
  • ERP / Procurement Systems: Which procurement or ERP systems have been used to process requisitions and purchase orders (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa); proficiency level; approximate number of transactions typically managed per month.
  • Negotiation & Supplier Management: Example of a successful supplier negotiation achieving meaningful cost savings or improved terms; approach and outcome.
