At Liquid I.V., our purpose is to elevate the vitality of people and the planet. An ambitious goal? Yes! But by playing to win, holding the bar higher, championing wellbeing, and always thinking with a pioneering mindset we can go further together to leave a lasting mark.

Our products are stocked in over 80,000 retail doors, including the world's leading specialty, big box, and online retailers such as Costco, Walmart, Target, Amazon, and many more. In just over 10 years, our growth has been exponential. And as part of Unilever, we're continuing the expansion of Liquid I.V. into a global brand.

We're also passionate about cultivating solutions for equitable clean water access, a healthier planet, and thriving communities. We contribute over 1% of our company revenue to our Impact Program through which we provide partnerships and grants to organizations that expand access to clean and abundant water locally and globally. By 2026, our goal is to help ensure access to clean water for 2 million people around the world.

About Our Team:

We are a world-class team of innovators and passionate change-makers, looking to develop transformative hydration solutions and make a meaningful impact on the world around us.

At Liquid I.V., we are committed to building an inclusive culture of belonging that not only embraces the diversity of our people but also reflects the diversity of the communities in which we work and the customers we serve.

Our team members enjoy a flexible and inclusive working environment, a highly collaborative and innovation-forward culture, generous benefits and perks that empower employees to champion their wellbeing every day, as well as an infinite supply of Liquid I.V. for extraordinary hydration.

About the Role:

Liquid I.V. is seeking a meticulous, systems-minded Digital Asset Manager to join our Marketing team. This is a foundational role - one that does not inherit a finished system but rather steps in as the architect, author, and governing authority for how Liquid I.V.'s digital assets are created, organized, accessed, and maintained across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Operations (DMO), this role works in primary partnership with the DMO and in close collaboration with the Marketing Operations Manager. Together, this trio forms the operational backbone of the Marketing department, with the Digital Asset Manager serving as the definitive authority on all things asset-related.

You will begin by conducting structured intake sessions with creative leads across the organization - acting first as an informed listener, relying on those leads to aggregate their assets and relevant data before handing them off to you for refinement, taxonomy application, and formal governance. From there, you will build a comprehensive asset lifecycle process: from the moment a file is captured on set or produced in a creative tool, through to final delivery into Bynder and long-term accessibility across the org.

This role requires deep DAM fluency, strong instincts for taxonomy and metadata across all asset types - video, motion, imagery, audio, PDFs, Word Docs,Powerpoints and beyond - and a working knowledge of the tools that produce them, including Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud. You will also be expected to actively monitor the AI landscape, evaluating emerging tools that could better serve the marketing organization and the Liquid I.V. brand, and presenting well-informed recommendations to leadership.

The ideal candidate is a confident self-starter: someone who asks the right questions, documents everything, builds trust with creative teams, and is equally comfortable on a production set discussing digitech optimization as they are presenting a governance framework to a room of senior stakeholders.

Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as the organization's primary Digital Asset Manager and governing authority - the definitive point of contact for all matters related to asset standards, taxonomy, access, and lifecycle.
  • Conduct structured intake sessions with creative asset leads across the organization - acting as an informed listener who relies on those leads to aggregate their assets and accompanying data, then takes ownership of refinement, taxonomy application, and formal governance.
  • Assess the current state of digital asset governance across the organization: synthesize intake findings, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and produce a clear, actionable state-of-the-DAM report to inform the path forward.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive asset development-to-governance process: from asset creation, capture, and naming conventions through review, approval, tagging, filing, and archival.
  • Develop and steward a taxonomy and metadata framework that accounts for all asset types produced at Liquid I.V. - including video, motion, imagery, audio, and supporting design files - ensuring assets are consistently discoverable regardless of who created them or which tool was used.
  • Maintain deep working knowledge of the tools that produce assets across the org - including Figma, Frame.io, and Adobe Creative Cloud - and ensure governance standards are tool-agnostic and practically applicable at the point of creation.
  • Partner with creative and production resources, both internal and external, to understand and guide how a file effectively moves from the point of capture - including digitech optimization on set - through post-production and into DAM delivery.
  • Own, configure, and continuously optimize Bynder as the department's primary DAM platform - including taxonomy, metadata schema, portal structure, user permissions, and integrations with upstream creative and production tools.
  • Maintain working governance over all asset-adjacent platforms including SharePoint, Dropbox, and connected storage or delivery systems.
  • Actively monitor the AI landscape for tools and integrations that could better serve or optimize the marketing organization and the Liquid I.V. brand - evaluate options rigorously and present well-informed recommendations to marketing leadership.
  • Partner primarily with the Director, Marketing Ops, and collaboratively with the Marketing Operations Manager, on systems strategy, tool evaluations, and ways of working that touch the asset ecosystem.
  • Map and document ways of working for the full asset lifecycle, ensuring cross-functional teams - Creative, Brand, Media, Digital, Retail, Social, and PR - understand how to request, submit, retrieve, and version assets.
  • Build and enforce asset governance standards org-wide: file naming conventions, version control protocols, expiration tagging, usage rights flagging, and archival policies.
  • Make confident org-wide recommendations when asset systems, tools, or behaviors need to change - build the case, present to stakeholders, and lead adoption.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that give marketing leadership visibility into asset utilization, library health, and governance compliance.
  • Attend all relevant cross-functional meetings to maintain visibility into upcoming asset needs, campaign timelines, and creative production schedules.
  • Train and onboard team members, new hires, and agency partners on DAM tools, processes, and standards

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Library Science, Information Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital asset management, marketing operations, or creative operations - preferably within a high-growth brand or in-house creative environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Bynder or a comparable enterprise DAM platform (Box, Brandfolder, Widen, etc.); direct experience configuring taxonomy, metadata, and portal structures strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building DAM or asset governance processes from scratch, including intake, taxonomy design, and org-wide rollout.
  • Strong working knowledge of creative production tools and file formats including Figma, Frame.io, and Adobe Creative Cloud; ability to understand and govern asset handoff workflows native to each.
  • Familiarity with production workflows from capture to delivery - including on-set digital technician (digitech) processes, file naming at source, and post-production handoff best practices.
  • Experience developing and applying taxonomy frameworks across multiple asset types: video, motion graphics, photography, audio, and design files.
  • Strong working knowledge of asset-adjacent platforms including SharePoint, Dropbox, and Google Drive.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and fluency in the AI tools landscape, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead structured intake and audit processes with cross-functional creative teams and synthesize findings into governance recommendations.
  • Confidence making org-wide process recommendations and driving adoption across teams with varying levels of technical fluency.
  • Familiarity with metadata schemas, controlled vocabularies, version control, and digital rights/usage rights management.
  • Strong communication skills - equally comfortable on a production set, in a working session with designers, and presenting governance frameworks to senior leadership.
  • High degree of ownership and self-direction: you find what's broken, document it, and fix it.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What We Give:

  • 100% company-paid medical, dental and vision insurance for employees (PPO, HMO and Kaiser options).
  • A 401k plan with company match, short and long-term disability coverage.
  • A generous PTO and sick policy that includes 13+ paid annual holidays.
  • Wellness classes (fitness, mental health, nutrition, finance, etc.).
  • An Employee Assistance Program, including membership for guided meditation for all employees.
  • Monthly tech and wellness reimbursement.
  • An infinite supply of Liquid I.V. for endless hydration!

Work Environment & Schedule:

Work Week: Monday - Friday | 9am-6pm

  • This is a HYBRID role. This position requires up to two days per week in office at our El Segundo, CA headquarters. Remaining days may be worked remotely. Some flexibility may be required for on-set production days, vendor meetings, or key cross-functional working sessions.

The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.
