REAL TIME CONSULTING (An RTCo Company)-POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: UAS Systems & Software Engineers
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of embedded systems and/or software experience
  • 2+ years Unmanned Aircraft Systems project experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Ability to develop Systems and/or Software Requirements
    • Experience in System Design and/or Software Development
    • Experience in System Integration: System/Software and/or Hardware/Software
    • Experience in System and/or Software verification
  • Proficient in modern programming languages (ex. C++, Python/Perl, C#/Java)
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a multi-functional team environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Prior experience in an R&D environment
  • Rapid prototype experience
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems qualification and certification
  • Project experience includes safety critical systems
  • Experience in autonomous systems, sense and avoid technology, GNC, or flight controls
  • Experience with Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and/or time-critical applications
