Location: Victoria, British Columbia
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience

A respected architectural studio on beautiful Vancouver Island in Victoria, is seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Professional to join its growing team. The practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector developments. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys balancing creative design work with technical execution and is looking for an environment where they can take ownership of projects while working closely with senior leadership.

THE ROLE

  • Participate in all stages of project development, from initial planning and design through construction and project closeout
  • Produce architectural drawings, designs, and presentation materials using industry-standard software
  • Prepare and coordinate detailed construction documentation
  • Work directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Assist with project coordination, project management, problem-solving, and design development throughout delivery
  • Conduct site visits and support construction administration activities
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across project documentation and deliverables
  • Work with aspects of business development

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Registered Architect or Intern Architect eligible through AIBC is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of working knowledge from within the architectural industry in North America
  • Experience working with community, healthcare, public/institutional projects strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and related design software
  • Demonstrated experience in design development, contract documents, and construction-phase services
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
