As a Plumbing Service Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction from the initial call through project completion. Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and honest customer service during all interactions.
  • Present solutions, discuss pricing, and obtain customer approval before beginning work.
  • Proactively offer additional products, upgrades, and service agreements during service calls.
  • Perform plumbing services, installations, and repairs in compliance with local plumbing codes and company standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IPC plumbing code and apply it on each job.
  • Safely operate and care for company vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Accurately prepare and complete estimates and invoices, ensuring proper markup on parts.
  • Document all findings, recommendations, and work performed using a handheld device.
  • Collect payments from customers and submit all invoices, timesheets, and payments daily.
  • Request all necessary permits prior to starting work.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls as needed.
  • Train and mentor apprentice plumbers as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues independently.
  • Experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
  • Residential/Journeyman Plumber’s License preferred.
  • Asse Backflow Certificate
  • Proficiency in a wide range of plumbing techniques, including soldering, pipe threading, drain cleaning, and fixture installation.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential and/or commercial plumbing systems and relevant local and state plumbing codes.
  • Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain problems, solutions, and pricing to customers.
  • Ability to use handheld devices and software for work orders, timekeeping, and navigation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for preparing invoices and resolving on-the-job issues.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, stand for long periods, and work in confined or awkward spaces.
