a division of HII, is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Data Science Specialist (Configuration Analyst) to support configuration management (CM) activities across complex systems, programs, and engineering environments. This role ensures that product baselines, technical data, and documentation are accurately maintained and controlled throughout the system lifecycle. The Data Science Specialist will collaborate with engineering, program management, logistics, and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and internal CM requirements.

This position is contingent upon contract award. What You Will Do Coordinates with government customer to determine process improvements for software Configuration Management. Performs planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of software Configuration Management methods.

Ensures supported programs follow Configuration Management security controls. Utilizes advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organizational programs, establishing study methods and techniques and analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of software running government applications. Participates in meetings and projects with stakeholders, staff, project managers, etc.

CM Analyst validates the deliverables depicted in the SEP to ensure the artifacts are reposed in the CM repository in support of the specific Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) event. What You Must Have 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. An active Secret clearance is required.

Experience writing and maintaining Configuration Management (CM) Plans and Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs). Experience developing and improving Program CM processes, including “Agile” methodology. Experience documenting and performing version control processes and procedures.

Experience establishing and maintaining program CM document libraries. Experience in scheduling, facilitating, and recording meeting minutes for CM meetings. Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to think independently with minimal oversight. Exceptional written and oral communications skills. Exemplary customer/client management skills and techniques.

Experience with Windows 2010, MS Office 2016 software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) and Adobe software. Bonus Points For Having!
