Description

SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Configuration Analyst Manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of this program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer; the Configuration Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.  This position is located in Cape Canaveral, FL.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews of all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures.  
  • Structures and maintains databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status.  
  • Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.  
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.  
  • Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.  
  • Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect subordinate organization(s).
  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Prepare deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Years of experience in lieu of degree will also be considered. 
  • Identify, organize, and control software and hardware configuration changes.
  • Identify and coordinate processes for version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management.  
  • Oversee baseline configurations for applications, software, and hardware assets.
  • Self-Starter to establish strategic plans.
  • Leads to determine courses of action and direction to team.

  • Managing configurations of geographically dispersed large-scale 24/7 operational systems .
