Job description

We are a leading Global Law firm with over 900 Lawyers in nine offices with integrated Global practices, serving clients Worldwide. Our firm has been in business for over 100 years and is a "household name" in the Legal Industry.
Law Firm/Legal Experience is necessary to apply ! !!
We are currently seeking an "Applications Engineer - M365 SERVICES" to join our technology team responsible for implementing and maintaining the firm's Microsoft M365 platforms and associated legal software applications.
This hybrid position is based in the firm's New York offices in Hudson Yards,3 days a week.
What will the Applications Engineer Do?
    - Install, maintain, and perform upgrades for a legal industry suite of software tools to support the delivery of legal services to clients
    - Support the transition of legacy on-prem applications to M365 services
    - Administers the firm's M365 collaboration tools, including SharePoint Online, MS Teams, OneNote, and OneDrive
    - Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for M365 platforms to ensure ease of use and full leverage of the tools; provides support for escalated trouble tickets and provides root cause analysis.
    - Establish M365 service administration protocols working across technology teams in identifying, documenting, and supporting M365 platforms.
    - Provision sites and accounts, and continually develop the processes and policies for provisioning
    - Perform application integration, configuration, and packaging requirements
    ? Seek out, evaluate, and propose enhancements, updates, and third-party solutions
    - Monitors Microsoft's roadmap for upgrades to M365 services, prepares and tests updates for implementation.
    - Assist with the creation of training materials
    - Works closely with the Information Security team, prioritizing implementation of secure architecture, security controls, and security patches.
    - Ensures all team, departmental, and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuity

What skills and experience are we looking for in a Legal Applications Engineer?
- 5+ years of experience in applications engineering in a law firm or professional services organization
- 1+ years of M365 implementation and administration experience, specifically with Teams and SharePoint online
- Strong knowledge of legal industry application and information governance requirements, best practices, and industry standards
