We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Applications Engineer to join the Video Applications team, with a focus on advancing both the iPad and Mac experiences. In this role, you will help shape the future of professional video editing. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, powerful, and performant features that push the boundaries of creative expression. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience developing complex applications in Objective-C and/or Swift.
Strong knowledge of Apple’s development tools and frameworks, including SwiftUI, UIKit, AVFoundation, Core Animation, and Core Image.
Demonstrated experience building high-performance, user-facing applications on iOS, iPadOS, or MacOS.
Expertise in Swift concurrency patterns and seamless Objective-C interoperability.
Solid understanding of computer graphics, media formats, and real-time rendering.
Proven track record of shipping high-quality software in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and engineering best practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively in a multi-functional team.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142,300 and $263,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
