Job description

Applications Engineer | Full Time

Print-O-Stat is seeking a responsible and technically knowledgeable Applications Engineer to join our team in York, PA. In this role, you will support our sales team by serving as a technical resource for clients, helping to understand their business needs and identify appropriate software solutions.

You will provide technical support, software training, and guidance on industry-specific workflows while working closely with clients and the sales team to demonstrate the value of technology solutions within their organizations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving technical challenges, and sharing their knowledge with others.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver certified training courses on Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Forma, and related applications, to individuals and groups in both in-person and virtual settings
  • Develop and maintain training curricula aligned with Autodesk training materials and certification objectives
  • Customize training content to address industry-specific workflows and customer needs
  • Evaluate trainee progress and provide appropriate completion or certification documentation
  • Maintain training lab and classroom environments, including software installations, licensing, and hardware readiness
  • Support new client onboarding through structured training and learning programs
  • Provide technical support by telephone, email, and virtual platforms for supported software products
  • Troubleshoot software-related issues, including error messages, software performance issues, licensing concerns, and hardware recommendations
  • Remain current on product enhancements, software developments, and relevant industry trends
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer challenges and identify technology solutions that address their business needs
  • Assist clients in understanding software capabilities and applying technology to their existing workflows
  • Participate in software demonstrations and provide technical guidance throughout the sales process
  • Travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as needed to support clients and training activities

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience implementing and utilizing Revit or Civil 3D in a professional production environment
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk products used within Architecture, Engineering, and Construction environments
  • Experience with Revit or Civil 3D required; knowledge of Forma Design Collaboration and Navisworks is a plus
  • Experience developing Revit templates, customizing settings and families, or working with Revit Architectural, Structural, or MEP workflows is a plus
  • For Civil 3D candidates, experience developing custom company templates, Dynamo scripts, data shortcuts, grading, pipe networks, corridors, or related workflows
  • General understanding of Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) applications
  • Strong understanding of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Autodesk Professional Certification preferred, or ability to obtain applicable certification within the first 90 days
  • Previous classroom, corporate training, or technical instruction experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and speaking skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to understand customer questions and provide valuable solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including during live software demonstrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Patience and adaptability when working with individuals of varying experience levels
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable teaching and presenting in both in-person and virtual environments
