TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado based, therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with our local schools to provide School Social Worker (SW) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality School Social Worker (SW) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.
Job Description and Responsibilities
This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role as a School Social Worker serving a school located in Littleton (Jeffco), CO.
The School Social Worker (SW) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents), supporting students according to their IEP. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) (LSW) or LCSW) from an accredited program
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) License with School Social Worker endorsement (or eligibility)
  • Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings
  • Experience working with children or school-aged students preferred
  • Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning
  • 2+ years of experience (preferred but not required)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance

Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
