About the Positionย
The Director of Project Management is a senior leadership position within MC&I for a project leader who can bring structure, accountability, and business discipline to a growing organization. This role will lead and strengthen the project management function while overseeing delivery performance, project financial health, risk management, team development, and portfolio-level execution. The Director will partner closely with MC&I leadership, client-facing teams, and technical disciplines to connect project execution with client expectations, staffing needs, commercial goals, and long-term account growth. The ideal candidate is a confident, strategic leader who can develop people, improve delivery practices, support complex client relationships, and create scalable systems that help the business grow. As MC&I continues to expand, this role offers the opportunity to shape how projects are managed, how teams are developed, and how the business delivers lasting value to clients.ย
Salary Range:ย $135,000 - $185,000 / yearย
The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.ย ย

Keyย Responsibilitiesย
People Leadership & Developmentย
Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing project management team thatย demonstratesย strong ownership, client focus, business judgment, andย deliveryย accountability.ย
Coach Project Managers and project support staff through regular feedback, mentorship, performance guidance, and individual development planning.ย
Foster a culture where Project Managers proactivelyย anticipateย risks, communicate clearly, drive alignment, and lead projects with confidence and professionalism.ย
Business Leadership & Project Performanceย
Own the MC&I project management operating model, including project governance, reporting cadence, delivery standards, financial controls, and scalable best practices.ย
Monitorย project and portfolio performance, including profitability, forecasting, budget adherence, accounts receivable, resource planning, and delivery risk.ย
Translate project performance data into business insight, helping leadershipย identifyย priorities, protect margins, resolve risks, and makeย timelyย decisions.ย
Review critical project controls, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, subcontractor strategy, change management, and commercial assumptions.ย
Client Partnerships & Strategic Deliveryย
Serve as a senior client-facing leader for strategic clients and priority projects, building trust through sound judgment, proactive communication, and reliable follow-through.ย
Act as an escalation point for client concerns related to delivery performance, scope alignment, schedule, budget, risk, and overall project experience.ย
Partner with Market Leads, Directors, Project Managers, and technical leaders to align project execution with client expectations, business priorities, and future growth opportunities.ย
Support proposal strategy, client presentations, and commercial planning by bringing project delivery insight, risk awareness, and resource perspective to pursuit efforts.ย
Cross-Functional Delivery & Qualityย
Align Project Managers, Team Leads, Directors, and technical teams around scope, milestones, deliverable ownership, quality expectations, and client commitments.ย
Remove cross-functional obstacles by improving communication, clarifying priorities, and drivingย timelyย decisions between project management, engineering, and leadership.ย
Support consistent execution across disciplines by ensuring project teams have clear plans, realistic schedules, defined responsibilities, and effective coordination practices.ย
Reinforce quality delivery by ensuring project documentation, client communications, contract requirements, financial records, and internal reporting areย accurate, organized, and complete.ย
Qualifications:ย
Required:ย
Bachelorโs degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution, with authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.ย
8+ years of relevant experience in project management, engineering delivery, construction management, consulting, operations, or technical client services.ย
Demonstratedย experience leading Project Managers, project teams, project delivery groups, or cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment.ย
Strong business and project financial acumen, including experience managing scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, profitability, risk, staffing coordination, change management, client communication, and project performance reporting.ย
Preferred:ย
Experience supporting mission critical, data center, industrial, oil & gas, utility, power systems, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure projects.ย
Prior experience in an engineering consulting, professional services, EPC, construction, or technical project delivery environment.ย
Project Management Professional certification, advanced degree, orย additionalย training in business, engineering, project management, or construction management.ย
Experience with project controls, scheduling tools, reporting dashboards, scalable delivery processes, proposal strategy, client presentations, or commercial planning.ย
