The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area by leveraging your current relationships and actively developing new business opportunities. This individual will serve as the face of Apex in the DFW market, identifying and securing commercial build-outs, multifamily renovation, new construction, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate brings a deep network of decision-makers in multifamily property management, commercial real estate development, and institutional ownership groups.
This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the estimating and project management teams to ensure seamless handoffs from sales through project execution.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Generation
Leverage an existing book of business in both the commercial and multifamily sectors to generate immediate revenue opportunities for Apex Multifamily Builders in the DFW market.
Proactively identify, pursue, and close new general contracting opportunities including multifamily renovations, ground-up construction, commercial tenant improvements, and industrial painting scopes.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting property management companies, REITs, institutional owners, commercial developers, and asset managers throughout Dallas and surrounding areas.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with regular reporting on pipeline status, forecasted revenue, win rates, and conversion metrics.
Prepare and present compelling proposals, qualifications packages, and RFP responses tailored to client needs and project requirements.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets as established by company leadership.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities across the DFW commercial and multifamily construction landscape.
Represent Apex Multifamily Builders at industry events, trade shows, association meetings, and networking functions to elevate brand awareness and generate leads.
Provide regular market intelligence reports to leadership, including emerging opportunities, competitive threats, and strategic recommendations for market penetration.
Collaborate with leadership to develop pricing strategies and service offerings that position Apex competitively in the DFW market.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Maintain accurate and current records in the company CRM, tracking all prospects, client interactions, proposals, and project outcomes.
Provide weekly sales activity reports and monthly pipeline reviews to the CEO.
Participate in estimating review meetings to ensure alignment between client expectations and project delivery capabilities.
Support the transition from sales to operations by providing thorough project documentation and client expectations to the project management team.
Required Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of direct business development or sales experience in the construction industry with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Demonstrated, verifiable book of business with active relationships in both the commercial and multifamily construction sectors within the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
Deep understanding of general contracting services including multifamily renovations, commercial tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and industrial coatings/painting.
Established network of contacts among property management companies, commercial developers, REITs, institutional owners, and asset management firms in DFW.
