Project Manager

Project Manager Commercial Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across K12, healthcare, churches, office buildings, senior living, and higher education sectors. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, client-facing skills, and deep technical knowledge of construction processes and regulatory requirements for multiple building types.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, perform cost tracking, forecasts, and change order administration to protect project margins.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely progress.
  • Serve as primary client contact; build and maintain strong client relationships and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Implement and enforce safety, quality control, and compliance standards, including applicable codes and regulatory requirements for K12, healthcare, and other specialized projects.
  • Prepare and review project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, schedules, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and resolve issues that impact schedule, budget, or quality.
  • Collaborate with estimating, design, and field teams during pre-construction to optimize constructability and value engineering opportunities.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction to obtain approvals and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a collaborative team environment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction with direct experience on K12, healthcare, churches, office buildings, senior living, or higher education projects.
  • Proven track record of managing projects with budgets ranging from mid-size to large scale and delivering on schedule and on budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, ADA requirements, and healthcare/K12-specific regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Prolog, CMiC), scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera), and Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Bluebeam/Revit is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or OSHA 30 are preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
