About the Job

We're currently seeking a full-time Respite Care Provider. The Respite Care Provider is responsible for planning, coordination, and provision of temporary, therapeutic respite care in 1:1 or group settings to provide parents and guardians a break from caregiving, and providing children with a safe, therapeutic environment.


This position requires flexibility of some daytime hours in addition to evening and weekend availability. Respite services are provided in office and/or community-based settings, and typically take place in the evenings, on weekends, and/or on days when school is not in session.


This position could be based in  Spencer, IA, Spirit Lake, IA, Sioux Center, IA, or Sheldon, IA.


Salary Range

$18.50 - $19.50 per hour (Commensurate with experience)

Requirements

  • An Associates degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required
  • At least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children is required
  • Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms
  • This position requires regular travel, so a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
  • A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field is preferred but not required
