This role will predominantly function in a remote setting, offering a unique work-life balance while remaining fully engaged with the school community's needs. • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and provide short-term psychotherapy as well as group therapy sessions for students, emphasizing culturally sensitive approaches that resonate with diverse backgrounds.
• Offer expert consultation for both students and staff regarding effective counseling strategies, ensuring that therapeutic needs are met holistically.
• Design and implement outreach programs that educate students, parents, and staff on mental health awareness and resources, enhancing community engagement.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay updated with best practices and emerging trends in clinical social work.
• Provide crisis intervention and assessment services, ensuring immediate support for students in distress, including high-risk situations, and when necessary, facilitating hospitalization procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the severity of presenting issues, offering evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions and timely referrals for ongoing care when appropriate.
• Deliver services both in-person during school events and remotely, adapting to the needs of students and the organizational structure.

This position involves working primarily with adolescents and young adults in a school setting, many of whom may be navigating challenges associated with mental health, academic pressures, and social dynamics. The applicant will need to understand and address the unique stressors and life circumstances that impact this age group, ensuring that care is tailored to individual needs and backgrounds.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and a valid California LCSW license are essential. Candidates with a fully licensed LMHC may also be considered.
• A minimum of three years of post-master's clinical experience, specifically in case management within a mental health context.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse adolescent populations, particularly in educational settings, is highly preferred.

Candidates should possess a background that includes:

• Proficient knowledge of mental health treatment modalities and developmental psychology as they relate to youth.
• Experience in crisis management and the ability to develop Immediate Response Plans for students.
• A deep commitment to increasing access to mental health resources and advocating for equity within educational frameworks.
