Senior Social Media Manager

Mika Coral Gables

Miami, FL • On-site

Full-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

Mika Coral Gables is an upscale dining destination by acclaimed chef Michael White, bringing refined Mediterranean-inspired cuisine to the heart of Coral Gables. With a sophisticated atmosphere, exceptional service, and a menu rooted in seasonal ingredients and bold flavors, Mika has quickly become a premier culinary destination in South Florida.
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Representative to help tell Mika's story — capturing the energy of the dining room, the artistry of the kitchen, and the personalities that make Mika a destination, all while building a strong digital presence that reflects the elevated experience guests can expect.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Social Media Representative is responsible for managing Mika's social media presence across all platforms — including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Google Business — with a focus on content creation, community engagement, and brand storytelling. This role works closely with the General Manager, culinary team, and marketing partners to ensure Mika's digital presence reflects the quality, ambiance, and experience of the restaurant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content of dishes, cocktails, the dining room, and behind-the-scenes moments in the kitchen and bar.
  • Create engaging Reels, TikToks, and Stories that showcase Mika's atmosphere, menu, and culinary team.
  • Coordinate and direct on-site content shoots, including new menu launches, seasonal updates, and special events.
  • Maintain a consistent visual aesthetic aligned with Mika's brand identity and Michael White's culinary philosophy.
Platform Management
  • Manage day-to-day posting across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Google Business.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar in coordination with management.
  • Monitor trends and platform updates to keep Mika's content fresh, relevant, and competitive.
  • Schedule posts for optimal engagement times based on platform analytics.
Community Engagement
  • Respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely, warm, and professional manner.
  • Build relationships with local influencers, food bloggers, and media for collaboration opportunities.
  • Asist to reviews on Google, Yelp, OpenTable, and Resy in coordination with management.
  • Identify and coordinate influencer visits, partnerships, and hosted dinners.

Event & Campaign Support
  • Document special events, private dinners, and chef collaborations for social content.
  • Support marketing campaigns for seasonal menus, holidays, and promotions.
  • Coordinate with external partners (e.g., press, photographers, brand collaborations) for on-site shoots.
  • Assist with email newsletter content and other digital marketing materials as needed.
 Analytics & Reporting
  • Track engagement metrics, follower growth, and content performance across all platforms.
  • Provide regular reports to management on social media performance and insights.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine content strategy and posting schedules.
 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Required
  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media for a restaurant, hospitality brand, or lifestyle business.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating photography and video content creation, particularly food and beverage photography.
  • Proficiency with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — including Reels, Stories, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience with content editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, or similar).
  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong eye for tone, voice, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to capture live restaurant content.

Preferred
  • Experience working in or with upscale dining or hospitality brands.
  • Existing relationships with South Florida food influencers, bloggers, and media.
  • Familiarity with paid social media advertising (Meta Ads Manager).
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, given the South Florida market.

WHAT MIKA OFFERS
The opportunity to be part of a high-profile culinary brand led by Chef Michael White.
  • A creative, collaborative environment with direct access to the culinary and management team.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Employee dining discounts.
  • Opportunities for growth within a growing hospitality group.
 HOW TO APPLY
Interested candidates should submit a resume along with a portfolio or links to social media accounts/content they have managed or created. Please include 2–3 examples of work that best represent your style and capabilities.
