Union County Educational Services Commission is a public school district in Westfield, NJ that was established to provide cost-effective educational programs and services for the twenty-one school districts located in Union County. The Commission is currently seeking a full-time School Social Worker to fill a replacement position at Hillcrest Academy South Campus.. This innovative alternative secondary program was developed to provide highly supportive and individualized academic programs to at-risk students who were unable to achieve success in the traditional school environment.  Responsibilities include assisting with academic scheduling, attendance, and progress monitoring; providing individual and group counseling; coordinating referrals to local and state agencies; assisting with college/career preparation; and serving as liaison between home, school, and community.

Requirements:
* Master's Degree in Social Work from an Accredited University
* New Jersey Department of Education School Social Worker Certificate

* Experience working in urban education and/or alternative high school settings preferred.
