Welcome to Windham Mountain Club!
Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.
Anticipated Start Dates: ITC training dates are as follows once completed your start date will be communicated
ITC dates: Noncertified instructors: 2 weekends
  • November 28-29
  • December 5-6
  • December 12-13

*These start dates are weather dependent
Pay: 18 to 20 per hour based on experience
Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season.

Scheduling Expectations: Peak times include weekends, early mornings, and holidays. Weekend availability is required.
Conditions: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, hail, wind, and cold temperatures.
Overview of Position: Uncertified Ski and Snowboard Instructors provide safe, fun, and engaging lessons for guests of all ages, with a primary focus on children. Ideal candidates are passionate about skiing or snowboarding and enjoy helping others learn and grow. No prior teaching experience is required; training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach group and private lessons for children and adults
  • Promote safe skiing and riding practices
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Select appropriate terrain and lesson progression for students
  • Follow all Ski & Ride School policies and procedures
  • Deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and continuous learning

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 14 years old
  • Able to make linked turns on intermediate terrain

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ski or ride on green and blue terrain for up to 6 hours daily
  • Work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions
  • Safely navigate uneven, snow- and ice-covered terrain
