What You’ll Do

  • Verify patient eligibility when needed

  • Collaborate with the facility's Business Office Manager by reviewing and balancing the daily census

  • Prepare and review patient claims for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies

  • Bill claims to Medicare and Managed Care payors (primary and secondary)

  • Track claim status and resolve rejections daily

  • Work on Medicare/Managed Aging daily

  • Participate in the month-end close process

  • Spot billing trends and carrier-related issues

  • Stay up-to-date on Medicare and insurance billing practices through ongoing education

  • Take on additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • High school diploma (required)

  • At least 1 year of Medicare/Managed Care billing experience (required)

  • BOM experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of managed insurance's timely filing deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • SNF billing experience is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills and respect for confidentiality

  • Integrity, discretion, and professionalism
