Job description

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond, a fully independent, physicianโ€‘owned, pulmonary, allergy, and sleep medicine practice, is seeking to hire a fullโ€‘time, partnerโ€‘track sleep physician. A medical degree from an accredited school of medicine and active board certification in sleep medicine are required.

For 50 years, we have been the premier provider of pulmonary outpatient care in central Virginia, with five locations, each offering full PFTs, allergy testing and immunotherapy, and dispensing of biologic therapy. The practice maintains three sleep labs with a total of 12 beds and a busy home sleep testing program. We also provide inpatient consultative services at seven hospitals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.
  • Read sleep studies and prescribe and manage CPAP therapy, oral appliances, medication therapy and other treatment modalities as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Educate patients and their families on sleep disorders, treatment options and lifestyle modification to improve sleep quality.
