Job description

  • Provide high-quality clinical care in sleep medicine, devoting at least 85% effort to clinical work.
  • Educate trainees concurrently with clinical practice.
  • Dedicate remaining effort to education and collaborative research activities.
  • Demonstrate academic accomplishments consistent with promotion, such as an average of at least one publication per year.
  • Practice at University of Minnesota Medical Center and one or more Fairview Hospitals and Clinics.
  • Participate in PACCS Division and Department of Medicine academic and clinical programs in pulmonary and critical care.
  • Develop an area of focus and expertise in sleep medicine and build regional and national reputation.
  • Participate in relevant multidisciplinary programs.
  • Participate in multi-investigator research studies and grants related to sleep medicine and other Division and Department projects.
  • Participate in clinical and research conferences, journal club, core curriculum lectures, and teaching of students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O.
  • High-level qualifications and in-depth knowledge in Sleep Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility by American Board of Internal Medicine.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • Ability to maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
  • Recently trained, clinically adept sleep medicine physician preferred by the role profile.
  • Experience and skills in education and/or clinical research are desirable.
