About Beacon Kalamazoo
Beacon Kalamazoo provides 24/7 emergency care and a Level II Trauma Center. We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women's health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratorytherapyand rehabilitation therapy services.
What You'll Do
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you'll report to the Director or Manager to provide professional nursing services in the area of assignment, assess the needs of patients and initiates, and implement and evaluate individualized plans of care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing compassionate and quality care to patients.
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the patient and/or family, and healthcare team, participate in open discussion to identify mutual goals based on the nursing assessment and nursing diagnosis.
  • Diagnose, treat and evaluate the human response to actual or potential health problems/needs.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the nursing plan of care and revise it as necessary.
  • Assess, detect, monitor and attempt to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
  • Notify the physician of patient condition and response to nursing intervention appropriately and document this action.
  • Responsible for ensuring that patient's pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented and evaluated. Adheres to policies and procedures for Pain Management.
  • Responsible for delegation to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.

Required Qualifications
  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Months (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • The Registered Nurse must have an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) or RN Diploma at start date. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Six (6) months minimum experience in each of the following areas preferred at start date: Cardiology, Telemetry monitoring, Knowledgeable in 12 Lead EKG Arterial Sheath Management.
