POSITION: Manufacturing Site Lead

 What You will Do:

  • A Site Lead is responsible for managing the operations, staff, and overall performance of the site, ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with customer and company objectives.
  • The Site Lead oversees day-to-day site operations, ensuring production or service output targets are met, processes are optimized, and resources are efficiently utilized. They monitor performance, material flow, and workflow to maintain a predictable operational tempo.
  • They manage, train, maintain team morale, resolving conflicts, and ensuring staff adherence to policies are core duties.
  • The Site Lead enforces site-specific safety protocols, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA, ISO, and other relevant certifications.
  • They liaise with customer leadership to communicate progress, address concerns, and implement project requirements. This reporting on site performance.
  • The role may include managing site budgets, financial/operational performance, as well as contributing to strategic planning and process improvements.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly report based on forecast/actuals on teams performance
  • Operating and remaining compliant to Standard Work, company policy and procedures (self, team)
  • Identify ways to reduce waste within the manufacturing process
  • Developing relationships w/ customers
  • Effective flow down of information to team
  • Recruiting, On-boarding, Training / Guiding others
  • Leading/sponsoring creative and engaging team growth events
  • Developing people; including career development plans, setting yearly objectives, giving/reviewing assessments; managing performance improvements; corrective actions
  • Support Quest Global managers by providing data, summaries, updates, audits
  • Timecard sign offs / high yield (resource planning), employee benefits Q&A
  • Resolving conflict, finding system/process root causes / generating Corrective action
  • Continuously improve Quest Global's tools, systems, procedures, SW, checklists and scale our business and services

What You Will Bring:

  • AS / BS degree in Manufacturing or other Engineering or Technical field. Other degrees w/ additional relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in Manufacturing / Quality Engineering
  • Aero/Industrial Gas Turbine experience - beneficial
  • Lean six sigma continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience leading and documenting customer service/deliverable oriented formal projects from pre-quote to closure
  • Experience leading teams (up to 15) charged to perform customer-oriented services
  • Ability to obtain and retain Quest Global Project Management Certification following company provided training.
  • Understanding of working in an industry regulated environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite tools
  • Procedural / Technical writing. Generating and giving effective presentations

Pay Range: $70K to $100K

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Columbus, Georgia

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. 
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, standing, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Up to 6 hours of standing and walking per day

 

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, <10% of travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
