About the Role:
MOROS CATERING LLC is looking for a talented and passionate Prep and Catering Cook to join our culinary team in beautiful Skaneateles, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your kitchen skills to a dynamic catering environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and execute high-quality food items for catering events of varying sizes and styles
  • Perform mise en place, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and prepping ingredients ahead of service
  • Follow recipes, plating guides, and presentation standards consistently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up food for off-site catering events
  • Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and communicate supply needs to kitchen leadership
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely and smooth event execution
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or food service environment preferred
  • Knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques and methods
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling (ServSafe a plus)
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
