OVERVIEW
Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is part of the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region. Our branch in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Summer Warehouse Assistant on a temporary employment status to join their warehouse team.
  • Receive equipment and materials that are delivered to the company by vendors, customers, and other external warehouses.
  • Properly and safely break down inbound freight in the mornings and help sort.
  • Assist in loading outbound trucks.
  • Utilize the appropriate safety equipment, maintaining warehouse safety certifications, and attend safety training as required.
  • Ensure the building grounds and warehouse are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
  • Administrative tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • High School diplomas or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
  • Possess a clean driving record, obtain a valid license and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
  • Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
  • Provide excellent customer service, time management and communication skills while having a mechanically inclined mindset.
  • Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions.
  • Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • This position may require may periodically require overnights and may qualify for occasionally require prevailing wages for project work.
