Metal Prep TechnicianLocated in West Valley City, UTFull TimeShift: Day Shift - 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday)Position DescriptionAt SilencerCo our Metal Prep Technicians own the process of deburring manufactured parts. SilencerCo leads the suppressor industry with our strong attention to quality and durability. If you consider yourself to have strong attention to detail, consider yourself to be crafty, and take pride in the work you do, this could be the job for you!Job Responsibilities You will be completing the visual inspection of all parts and products (looking for Dings, Dents, scratches)Removal of all excess material from manufactured partsComplete routine maintenance on all equipmentIdentify problems as they arise, evaluate these problems, and implement solutionsPerform and adhere to SilencerCo's standard operating proceduresUse collected data to determine normality, process control limits, and areas that require improvementComply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and safety standardsAny other responsibilities and duties as needed to meet company objectivesOperate industrial wash, blast, and tumble machinery as well as high temperature furnaces Job Qualifications (Preferred)Ability to operate complex hand toolsHave strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well with others, and have great time management skillsAbility to communicate well with others (verbal and written communication)Someone who can welcome change, and be easily adaptableAbility to work in a sometimes high-stress environmentBasic knowledge of manufacturing; tools, machines, designs, uses, quality control, raw materials, maintenance, and repairsComfortable operating power/air tools for an extended timeBasic knowledge of SilencerCo's products *required* Ability to lift 30 lbs, and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work overtime as needed1 year of basic work experienceAll SilencerCo offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
