Engineering Change Coordinator (ECC)

Location: West Valley, UT

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift (Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM)

Position Description

The Engineering Change Coordinator (ECC) acts as the primary owner for the end-to-end coordination and implementation of product or process changes within the SilencerCo Production System. Their main goal is to ensure that engineering changes are understood, planned, and executed without disrupting safety, quality, or delivery goals. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure adherence to deployment schedules.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the entire lifecycle of an Engineering Change, from initial request through implementation
  • Act as the liaison between Engineering, Production, Quality, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Ensure all changes are properly reviewed for impact on safety, function, reliability and regulatory compliance
  • Defining Inventory Disposition Plans (the exact moment a change takes effect) to minimize scrap and obsolescence of old inventory
  • Ensure proper documentation & data integrity by maintaining accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), part configurations, and routings within ERP and PLM systems
  • Facilitate change review meetings to ensure timely approvals
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote and adhere to all safe work practices and support compliance with safety regulations and injury procedures
  • Support deployment and sustainment of Lean principles across production departments

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years in manufacturing or engineering support roles
  • Experience supporting process improvement or manufacturing engineering activities
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process documentation, and work instructions
  • High-level organizational and communication skills for facilitating cross-departmental decisions and meeting tight deadlines
  • Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing data
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Quality-focused mindset and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of TS/ISO and ITAR requirements preferred

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial conditions
  • Must be able to safely operate or support operation of manufacturing equipment
