The Financial Professional is a commission-based independent contractor (1099), a flexible, primarily remote opportunity with in-person participation in select locations throughout the United States, including Northern California and surrounding communities as business and client needs require.

In this client-centered role, the Financial Professional meets with individuals, families, business owners, executives, and organizational leaders to understand their financial priorities, evaluate their current circumstances, and identify appropriate educational resources, strategies, and solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting client discovery and financial-needs assessments.
• Educating clients about protection, accumulation, retirement income, long-term care, business-continuity, and legacy-planning concepts.
• Presenting appropriately approved financial and insurance solutions, including strategies that may offer tax advantages.
• Introducing executive bonus, key-person, employee-retention, and succession-planning concepts to qualified organizations.
• Developing clear, professional, client-facing presentations and recommendations.
• Building and maintaining trusted, long-term client relationships.
• Collaborating with internal specialists, carrier partners, and clients’ legal, accounting, and tax professionals when appropriate.
• Participating in community outreach, financial-education workshops, professional-development sessions, and strategic meetings.
• Maintaining accurate client records and following all applicable regulatory, licensing, privacy, suitability, and compliance requirements.
• Remaining current on relevant financial concepts, insurance products, industry developments, and regulatory standards.
• Contributing to the firm’s growth by developing professional relationships, generating referrals, and expanding access to financial education and services.

Financial Professionals do not provide legal or tax advice unless separately qualified and authorized to do so. Clients are encouraged to consult their own legal and tax advisors regarding their individual circumstances.

• Demonstrated experience in financial services, insurance, financial education, wealth building, business consulting, executive leadership, or a related client-centered field.
• Strong ability to assess needs, identify priorities, and develop appropriate solutions.
• Knowledge of retirement planning, protection strategies, tax-advantaged financial concepts, business succession, executive bonus arrangements, or key-employee benefit programs is highly beneficial.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly, accurately, and confidently.
• Strong analytical, organizational, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with diverse individuals, families, professionals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound professional judgment, discretion, and commitment to ethical, client-centered service.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial, coachable, and able to work effectively within a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements, meet established commitments, and follow defined business and compliance processes.
• Proficiency with virtual-meeting platforms, customer relationship management systems, presentation software, and basic financial tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, education, organizational leadership, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• An active state insurance license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing and able to complete all required prelicensing education, examinations, background checks, appointments, and ongoing training before presenting or transacting regulated products.
• FINRA registrations, CFP® certification, or other relevant professional credentials are beneficial only when applicable to the services the individual is authorized to provide.
• Ability to work remotely and participate in selected on-site meetings, training sessions, community events, and client engagements in Oakland and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

This role involves performance and commission-based compensation and is subject to applicable licensing, carrier-appointment, compliance, and contractual requirements. Specific compensation, classification, expenses, benefits, performance expectations, and advancement opportunities will be explained during the selection process.
