Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently seeking a talentedย Senior Project Manager, Transportationย for theย Southern California market.ย In this role, you will be a part of theย Civilย team for Transportationย projects based in Southern California (Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County or San Bernardino).ย Candidate must be able to work within a team environment and have good communication skills.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Manage a wide variety and complexity of highway related projects
  • Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin
  • Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating and reviewing work by others
  • Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary
  • Oversee and approve invoicing/billing and manage project scope and secure change orders as necessary
  • Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to execute project delivery
  • Act as EXP's representative with the client and selected subcontractors during project execution
  • Assist in the preparation of proposal and presentations for project pursuits
  • Develop and maintain client relationships

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering. Preferably in civil, transportation or environmental engineering.
  • In depth knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • 12 plus years of experience. ย  ย ย 
  • PE License in the State of California
  • Strong technical design background in road and highway design and Project Management
  • Experience with local City and County agency standards and projects.ย 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skillsย 
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project

The pay range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
