Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively communicate project scope, plan and progress to all stakeholders internally and externally
- Lead, train, and manage project controls personnel on project controls functions, processes, tools and procedures.
- Provide guidance and expertise to project management on project controls analysis, trends, performance, forecasting, Time Impact Analysis, and claims
- Coordinate resources and assign tasks on Project Controls activities
- Lead reviews and project controls analysis with upper management and project teams to provide innovative solutions to scheduling & cost performance
- Lead project reviews on actual performance, change management, budgets, forecasting, progress and schedule performance
- Develop practices and procedures as needed
- Assist/train project management in use of PM/Controls tools
- Works on complex assignments and manages internal/external team members towards a common goal.
- Complete performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employee
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of related experience in project controls or cost scheduling and planning
- 4+ years of CPM schedule integration, or Cost Control and managing personnel
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments
