Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking a Corporate Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt role in Burlington, WA. A well-established manufacturing industry leader recognized for operational excellence, innovation, and a strong continuous improvement culture. This role is critical to driving enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business impact across manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional Lean & Six Sigma projects delivering $500K+ in measurable financial impact.

  • Serve as a corporate change leader, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing sites.

  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies including DMAIC, PDCA, A3, and Hoshin Kanri (strategy deployment).

  • Analyze and improve key manufacturing performance metrics such as OEE, asset utilization, line flow constraints, and process capability.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Coach, mentor, and influence leaders and teams to adopt Lean thinking and continuous improvement behaviors.

  • Partner with senior leadership to align improvement initiatives with strategic business objectives.

  • Act as a servant leader, fostering collaboration, diversity, and team engagement across functions.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and drive change, even in challenging or resistant environments.


Qualifications:
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from a globally recognized professional association (ASQ, IASSC, or equivalent required).

  • 10+ years of experience in a dedicated continuous improvement or operational excellence role within a manufacturing environment.

  • 7+ years of experience working in a strong, recognized Lean & Six Sigma culture.

  • Demonstrated experience leading (not just supporting) enterprise-level Lean & Six Sigma projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies including PDCA, A3, DMAIC, and Hoshin Kanri.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing performance metrics (OEE, asset utilization, constraint analysis, root cause analysis).

  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and inspire adoption of change.

  • Assertive, confident, and effective communicator with a strong change-agent mindset.

  • Exposure to DFSS, Shainin Red X, or Fast X methodologies preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Engineering preferred).

  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2) is a plus.

  • Willingness to relocate to South Carolina or Washington State.


Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $85,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience.
