Senior Plumbing Mechanical EngineerThe OpportunityAs a Senior Engineer at SHP, you will lead the full engineering design process for both new construction and renovation projects. You will set technical direction, manage multidisciplinary coordination, oversee staff, and serve as the primary engineering liaison to clients and project partners.You'll apply deep technical expertise to create efficient, reliable plumbing systems and help shape firmwide engineering standards while mentoring the next generation of talent.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee full plumbing engineering design on multiple projectsProvide a high level of technical leadership, quality review, and problem-solvingDesign and evaluate domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty plumbing systemsRepresent SHP with clients, contractors, architects, and consultantsPrepare and oversee reports, specifications, and final engineering deliverablesEstablish project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; ensure projects meet goalsSupervise and mentor engineering staff; support development of team capabilitiesContribute to business development, proposals, and strategic planningKey RequirementsEducation & CredentialsBachelor's degree in Engineering8–10+ years of A/E consulting experiencePE licensure requiredLEED accreditation preferredSkills & ExperienceExpert-level proficiency in plumbing system design and Revit workflowsStrong communication and client-facing skillsProven ability to manage people, processes, and multiple project deadlinesAdvanced capability in solving complex technical and design challengesCollaborative mindset with strong multidisciplinary coordination skills Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
