Automotive Technician

Shottenkirk Honda of Davis

Shottenkirk Automotive Group is family-owned and has been in business for over 60 years. We currently operate 27 Automotive Dealerships in 6 states and employ over 2,500 people. The Automotive Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing cars and light trucks- specifically in relation to smog standards. They provide the mechanical support for the dealership. Requires proficient use of tools, such as computerized diagnostic tools and power tools (pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, jacks, and hoists). 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Organizing and coordinating schedules

  • Analyzing and interpreting data

  • Calibrating precise measurements

  • Problem solving

  • Communicating with the public

  • Completion of written work order

  • Manual dexterity

  • Mechanical, technical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills 

  • Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations: 

Refrigerant Handling License & Master Automobile Technician Certification required.
