Position SummaryRocket Supply is a leading manufacturer of LPG delivery trucks, with over 65 years of service throughout the Midwest. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shop Laborer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the assembly and fabrication of propane trucks, ensuring they meet industry standards for safety and functionality. If you have a strong work ethic, are mechanically inclined, and enjoy working in a hands-on environment, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities Work within right production schedules to meet company needs.Assist in the assembly and fabrication of propane trucks according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications.Perform tasks such as cutting, welding, drilling, and fitting components to build propane truck bodies and systems.Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols and regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment using forklifts and other machinery.Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the assembly process.Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to production schedules to meet project deadlines.Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery to store locations.Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to propane truck building and safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of Rocket Supply.Cross-training adaptability amongst several disciplines.Position QualificationsExperience/EducationRequired Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Work Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment assembly Basic knowledge of hand and power tools commonly used in fabrication and assembly work.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment as required. Required Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPreferred Qualifications: Vocational training or certification in welding, fabrication, or a related field. Communication: Quality verbal communication abilities in a team-based environmentAdditional Requirements:Experienced working with propane systems or familiarity with propane industry regulationsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsExperience operating machinery such as plasma cutters, brake presses, and saws.
