Job Title: General Laborer - WEEKLY PAY - $18 TO $20 AN HOUR - GREAT BENEFITS

Job Description

This role supports a large custom cabinet manufacturing operation by working in the trim department, with the opportunity to rotate through multiple production areas and grow into other departments over time. You will work with woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, prepare, and inspect cabinet components while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cut finished and specialized wood panels using table saws and other woodworking equipment.
  • Set up and prepare machines for production, including adjusting controls and ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
  • Detect malfunctions and irregularities in equipment or parts, and take appropriate action to correct issues.
  • Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and finish, following established standards and guidelines.
  • Adjust controls and replace blades or other tooling components as needed to maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized production environment.
  • Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure precise cuts and assemblies.
  • Handle hand and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, trimming, and assembling cabinet components.
  • Work across up to four different departments in the trim and production areas as assigned throughout the day.
  • Follow production schedules and instructions while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and trainers to learn new tasks and processes and support cross-training efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall cabinet production and plant operations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of previous work experience in a production, general labor, construction, or similar environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to pass a tape measure test and accurately read measurements.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with training and production demands.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic proficiency with saw operation, including table saws.
  • Manual dexterity and good handโ€“eye coordination for detailed woodworking and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail for inspection and quality control of parts.
  • Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance for a Mondayโ€“Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Experience in woodworking, carpentry, cabinet making, or cabinetry production.

Work Environment

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours. You will work with tools such as table saws, edge band machines, hand tools, power tools, and tape measures in a hands-on production setting. The dress code requires closed-toe shoes and clothing without offensive content, suitable for a manufacturing environment focused on safety and professionalism.
