How much do shipping scheduler jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 13, 2026, the average hourly pay for shipping scheduler in the United States is $25.90, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $17.79 and $28.85 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A Shipping Scheduler typically earns less than $4,000 weekly, as it is an administrative role in logistics. High-paying jobs that can reach or exceed $4,000 per week without a degree often include roles such as commercial truck drivers, sales managers, or skilled trades like electricians and plumbers, especially with experience or certifications. These positions may require specialized skills, licenses, or on-the-job training.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

High-paying jobs for a Shipping Scheduler are rare, as most roles in logistics and supply chain management typically do not reach $500,000 annually. Executive positions such as supply chain directors or logistics managers with extensive experience and large companies may approach or exceed this level, especially with bonuses and stock options. Achieving such income generally requires advanced skills, certifications, and leadership responsibilities.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

In general, very few jobs pay $1,000,000 annually, but high-level executive roles such as CEOs, investment bankers, and successful entrepreneurs can reach or exceed this level. Certain specialized professions like top-tier surgeons, professional athletes, and celebrity entertainers also earn this amount, often supplemented by bonuses, endorsements, or business ventures. Most roles in shipping scheduling or logistics do not typically reach this income level without additional business ownership or executive responsibilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Shipping Scheduler, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Shipping Scheduler, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with logistics or supply chain management, often supported by a relevant associate degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP software, and industry-specific documentation is typically required. Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and time management are soft skills that set top performers apart in this role. These skills ensure efficient shipment coordination, minimize delays, and help maintain customer satisfaction in a dynamic logistics environment.

What are some typical challenges a Shipping Scheduler faces, and how can they effectively manage them?

Shipping Schedulers often encounter challenges such as last-minute order changes, coordinating with multiple departments, and managing tight delivery deadlines. To effectively handle these situations, it's important to maintain clear communication with warehouse staff, carriers, and sales teams, and to use scheduling software to track shipments and adjust plans quickly. Developing strong organizational skills and staying adaptable will help ensure shipments go out on time and meet customer expectations.

What does a shipping scheduler do?

A shipping scheduler coordinates the planning and scheduling of shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods. They communicate with carriers, track shipments, and use logistics software to optimize delivery schedules and manage inventory flow.
