Job description

Shipping Associate Furniture Manufacturing
Location:Locust Grove, GA
Pay:$18.00 per hour

Join a growing manufacturing team that builds high-quality restaurant booths and commercial seating. We are seeking dependable, hardworking Shipping Associates to prepare, move, and load finished furniture for shipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload finished furniture and materials for shipment.

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.

  • Move, organize, and stage products throughout the warehouse.

  • Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.

  • Use hand and air-powered tools as needed.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements:

  • Previous forklift operating experience required.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours per shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs. independently (team lifting required for items over 85 lbs.).

  • Ability to push and pull loaded hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform repetitive upper-body movements.

  • Comfortable using electric and pneumatic hand tools weighing up to 20 lbs.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with wood dust and varying temperatures, as the facility is not centrally heated or cooled.

  • Safety glasses are required while on the production floor.
