Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager, the Shipping Specialists provides operational leadership and coordination for daily shipping department activities. Working collaboratively with Shipping Leads and Shipping Associates, this position helps ensure shipping operations are executed efficiently, safely, and accurately while supporting departmental goals and company-wide operational strategies.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Coordinate and oversee daily shipping operations to ensure workflow continuity.
โ€ข Serve as backup to Shipping Manager as needed.
โ€ข Fill in for Shipping Leads when operational coverage is required.
โ€ข Conduct planning and execution of new store project operations.
โ€ข Coordinate store closing projects including shipment planning and inventory movement.
โ€ข Schedule and process LTL pickups with designated freight carriers.
โ€ข Work cross-department with managers and leads to ensure operational alignment.
โ€ข Plan and assign shipping routes to designated associates.
โ€ข Assist with daily labor planning and workflow delegation.
โ€ข Develop and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within shipping operations.
โ€ข Evaluate and improve department training plans and onboarding procedures.
โ€ข Monitor productivity, quality, and safety KPIs within shipping.
โ€ข Generate daily operational reports and communicate issues to management.
โ€ข Verify outbound shipments against manifests for shipment accuracy.
โ€ข Perform audits of trailers, pallet jacks, scanners, and shipping equipment.
โ€ข Support departmental initiatives aligned with company operational strategy.
โ€ข Promote all company safety standards and operational policies.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

โ€ข Minimum 2 years warehouse/shipping operations experience preferred.
โ€ข Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
