Job description

  • Department: Shipping and Receiving
  • Schedule: Full-time Days: 4 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Work Location:  UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Birmingham, Al.
  • Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more 

Receive goods as ordered and delivered and process packing slips into departmental computer systems, while giving priority to rush items.

  • Verify receipt of items against packing slip. Check in items against purchase orders.
  • Enter inventory received into database for tracking.
  • Process returned items for shipping and schedules pick up.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot any received goods for issues/problems.
  • Maintain receiving and dock area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Raise awareness of dock security issues.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
