Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Associate

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Hourly Rate: $16/hour


Job Overview:

The Shipping/Receiving associate is the primary leader for ensuring that orders are received from production, stored, and loaded for outbound shipments. In addition, they will oversee the receiving of packages into the warehouse and process accordingly. This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities. 


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ship orders accurately and efficiently to customers
  • Organize LTL/Courier shipments as needed
  • Ensure tracking numbers are generated and populated into Apparel Magic in a timely manner
  • Answer any and all shipping requests from other departments using Freshdesk ticketing
  • Communicate with carriers to ensure timely deliveries, pickups, closings etc.
  • Oversee the receiving of packages
  • Help load or unload any shipments
  • Assure orders are built and staged in order to ship appropriately
  • Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications
  • Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintains shipping stations are organized and stocked with materials
  • Complete necessary management reports as required
  • Assure shipping employees are adhering to all safe work practices
  • Complete special projects at the discretion of management
  • Accurately complete the building maintenance and security checklist

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Must have excellent communication skills; good leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Must be willing and able to work as part of a team
  • Possess good organizational and coordinating abilities
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in an orderly manner
  • Must have good judgement and decision-making abilities
  • Must possess time management skills
  • Possess good conflict resolution skills
  • Willingness to accommodate their daily work schedule to ensure all orders go out by their "Start dates"

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions required for this position
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for eight hours (7am-4pm) in open warehouse environment
