Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated experienced Material Handler for our shipping & receiving department. Day shift schedule 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and occasional Saturday 7 a.m. - noon.

Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

  • Operate forklift, overhead crane, mold mover, and other necessary equipment to move goods.
  • Prepare finished product for shipment, prepare labels, ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Unload and load trucks, putting product in correct designated location.
  • Assist Truck Drivers by spotting them as they enter the building.
  • Assist Truck Drivers by preparing their next load and assist them with securing load.
  • Complete required shipping and receiving inspection documentation.
  • Checking in received goods and unpackaging as needed.
  • Disposition of nonconforming purchased products.
  • Assist in maintaining job bins, including completing required documentation.
  • Retrieve and deliver packages (UPS/FedEx) as required and sending e-mails to receivers.
  • Assists in the receiving inspection on steel, by measuring, labeling, and delivering to required departments, followed by sending e-mail alerts.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness within the Shipping and Receiving department and warehouse.
  • Follow and support quality, safety, and environmental management system policies and procedures.

Must have experience driving a forklift.
