Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks IPMDM Business Analyst Lead in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Analyze, maintain, and enhance Security Reference Data applications to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data to downstream systems.

  • Analyze, Debug and optimize complex Java programs, Perl scripts, SQL stored procedures, and Unix shell scripts supporting application performance and scalability.

  • Collaboration with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate functional technical specifications for implementing solutions.

  • Support data onboarding processes from market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet) to ensure seamless integration, data accuracy and improve coverage.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for data enrichment, quality improvement, and automation to support business objectives.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial instrument data, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products, to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Lead and participate in testing, including test case development, unit testing, and integration testing, to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Design and implement automated frameworks to validate data processing and application functionality.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, incorporating necessary controls into reference data workflows.

  • Technical expertise in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and application troubleshooting.

  • Document processes, technical designs, and solutions to promote knowledge sharing and operational transparency.

  • Oversee end-to-end project activities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and status reporting.

  • Monitor and support production systems, ensuring uptime and rapid incident resolution.

  • May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid role].

Minimum Salary: $150,550 per year

Maximum Salary: $165,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
