Job description

Business Analyst – Endur

Shell is looking for a Business Analyst – Endur to join its team in Houston.

This role is responsible for identifying and analyzing business needs, translating them into effective solutions, and acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. The position requires strong analytical thinking, a user-focused mindset, and the ability to quickly adapt to evolving technologies, while driving clear communication, influencing outcomes, and contributing to process improvements that manage risk and maximize business value.

In addition, role has a hybrid (office/remote) work arrangement, with a current of three (3) days per week in the office, subject to change based on business needs.

Accountabilities:
  • Link technical solutions with business strategy when working with business partners
  • Apply knowledge of how competitors use IT solutions to gain a competitive edge
  • Lead stakeholder management activities and creating opportunities to build trust and make stakeholders feel valued
  • Provide interpretive, advisory, or facilitative services using broad and specialized knowledge to help others achieve results
  • Volunteer for community leadership roles and supporting regional networks through leading activities, presenting topics, and coaching
  • Coach at least one IT Business Analyst
  • Contribute to the creation of new best practice materials by identifying gaps and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific tools, techniques, or business areas
  • Participate in industry-related IT BA activities (e.g., IIBA webcasts or chapter meetings) and applying and sharing learnings within Shell
What You Bring:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT or a related field
  • At least 10 years of corporate IT experience, including 4 years as an IT Business Analyst
  • Strong knowledge of Trading and Supply
  • Extensive experience with Endur
  • Proficiency in Cmotion, Deal Capture (Front Office), Settlements & Accounting (Back Office), and/or Tax
  • Skilled in business analysis techniques and tools
  • Experience working on Agile projects
What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $186,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
