Sheet Metal Supervisor – 2nd Shift


Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM


Pay Rate: $23.00 - $31.25 an Hour


Location: Severn, MD


Experience: 3–5 years of required experience

Job duties:

Supervise daily operations in the sheet metal shop, including laser cutting, punching, forming, bending, grinding, and the assembly of sheet metal components.


Assign daily tasks and manage the scheduling of shop personnel to successfully meet production goals and strict delivery timelines.


Monitor active work orders and collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to accurately interpret drawings and fabrication requirements.


Ensure strict quality standards are achieved by checking completed parts for accuracy, finish, and precise adherence to tolerances.


Train and coach team members while maintaining daily production logs tracking material usage, labor hours, and scrap.


Requirements include:

3–5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, with at least 2 years specifically in a lead or supervisory role.


Strong working knowledge of fabrication techniques such as CNC punching, laser cutting, and press brake forming, with electrical enclosure experience highly preferred.


Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or blueprints, alongside familiarity with basic ERP/MRP software.


Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, team-oriented approach to continuous improvement.


Ability to stand, walk, work stationary for long periods of time, and perform repetitive tasks precisely within a hands-on production environment.
