Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the supervisor of site services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $21

Location:Hillsboro, OR

Shift:7 am - 7 pm, Thursday - Saturday, and every other Wednesday

What we're looking for:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or related experience preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.
  • Collaboration Tool:Intermediate to Advanced computer/smartphoneskills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Troubleshooting experience a plus.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. Thriving in this role means ensuring smooth Fab operations through expert inventory management, adherence to cleanroom protocols, and proactive problem-solving. A successful candidate will collaborate effectively with engineers and technicians, optimize workflows, and maintain quality standards to support critical scientific and technological advancements.

In this role you will:

  • Operate within Class 1 cleanroom environments,adhering to strict safety and contamination control protocols.
  • Understand and follow Fab protocols, including gowning procedures, material handling, and environmental safety standards.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and ensure packaging meets regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
  • Manage consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and 3rd-party inventory on-site.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and provide daily customer service to ensure uninterrupted Fab operations.
  • Monitor andprocess ordersusing Intel'sorderingsystem.
  • Meet safety, quality, and revenue goals.
  • Manage and deliver productionmaterialsand consumables tolocations throughout the Faband Sub-Fab.
  • Interface with IntelEngineers and Techniciansonmaterialorder requirements andpreventative maintenanceschedules.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling,and transferof chemicalsand materialsin accordance with Intel standards.
  • Leverage Intel-supplied systems to oversee inventory and monitor material consumption efficiently.
  • Track material requests in the Intel SharePoint system to guarantee timely delivery for preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on Sub-Fab machines while strictly adhering to Intel's process and safety protocols to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Partner with other team members to safely and efficiently carry out preventative maintenance on tools, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct inventory audits and oversee stock management across Fab and Sub-Fab locations to maintain accuracy and operational efficiency.
