Job description

General Purpose:

This role will work with each of the operational departments to assist with daily operational tasks while gaining a 360-degree view of banking technology and operations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist with daily accounting tasks and functions.
  2. Assist with daily operational tasks and posting.
  3. Observe daily prologue accounts payable process, including invoice. .management, scanning in relation to AP workflow, vendor payments.
  4. Shadow technology operations leaders and assist in user access management procedures, and equipment inventory processes.
  5. Assist with payments team member daily reconciliation such as ACH and wires transactions.
  6. Shadow risk and compliance team members to understand risk tolerance, fraud mitigation and daily tasks.
  7. Shadow retail and call center team members to assist in daily functions and understand voice of the member impact.
  8. Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements (Education/Experience):

  1. Progress toward a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or related work experience
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and a willingness to acquire knowledge of core processing and accounting software

Working Conditions:

The credit union is committed to working with its employees to reasonably accommodate them with the physical aspects of the position. The working conditions are general business office with daily member contact, interaction with volunteers and management. Other working conditions include sitting for extended periods of time, frequent up/down motion, reaching downward or overhead from sitting position, stooping, bending and pushing/pulling, climbing some stairs, lifting and moving moderately heavy items and repetitive keyboard typing.
