Overview

Location: Gateway Dining Facility, RAF Mildenhall
Position Title: Site Manager – Gateway DFAC

Position Summary

The Site Manager oversees contractor personnel performing food service support at the Gateway Dining Facility. This role ensures all dining facility operations comply with Air Force food service standards, sanitation requirements, and the contract Performance Work Statement.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise contractor employees assigned to the Gateway DFAC.

  • Ensure adequate staffing for all meal periods and shifts.

  • Monitor food service operations including food preparation support, serving lines, cashier operations, and sanitation tasks.

  • Implement the contractor’s Quality Control Plan (QCP) and address deficiencies.

  • Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and service quality.

  • Coordinate operational issues with the COR and DFAC leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards including FDA Food Code and Tri-Service Food Code.

  • Monitor customer service and ensure professional interactions with patrons.

  • Maintain documentation of cleaning schedules, inspections, and corrective actions.

  • Ensure contractor personnel comply with installation security policies and OPSEC requirements.

Work Schedule
  • On-site during operational hours Monday–Friday (0700–2000)

  • Available by phone outside normal operating hours for contractor personnel matters.

Qualifications
  • ServSafe Manager Certification within 30 days

  • Supervisory experience in food service operations

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

  • Legal work authorization in the UK

  • Successful base access vetting and security checks
