REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Order Coordinator works closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure loads are built accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of precision and timeliness in the load planning process to support smooth logistics operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safety First - 24/7
    • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Take personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
    • Actively participate in safety huddles and utilize the Safety Observation System (SOS).
    • Promptly report unsafe conditions and behaviors.
    • Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
    • Maintain full adherence to all company policies at all times.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all framing loads on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe load area at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure loads are built in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide sales and customer service support to customers as needed.
  • Process credit returns accurately and ensure all related paperwork is submitted to the credit processor in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance by wearing company-issued clothing and name tag at all times.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Solid working knowledge of company products and services.
  • Hancock Lumber licensed forklift operator.

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED, desired.
  • Valid operator's license.
  • Must be insurable under company vehicle policies.

REPETITIVE PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Lift 80# from floor to waist; lift 60# from waist to shoulder.
  • Carry 80# over a distance exceeding 12 feet.
  • Push 100# in a wheeled cart.
  • Bend, stoop or squat to floor level repeatedly.
  • Reach overhead to grasp materials.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
  • Work with mechanical equipment on a daily basis.
  • Be able to shovel snow.
